CAROL GORDON DAY
CELEBRATE CAROL GORDON MEMORIAL DAY AT THE KEYS BAR
Former landlady of the Keys Carol Gordon was struck down with Motor Neurones Disease whilst in the prime of her life and was sadly taken from us in 2011.
Gone but not forgotten, this special lady touched the hearts of all that new her. Regulars of the Keys Bar get together annually to raise a glass and some money for Motor Neurones and have a great night in her memory.
This years celebration will be on Monday 22nd May 2017 with a range of things planned for all to enjoy.
In addition, the Keys Golf Outing will take place the day before on Sunday the 21st May with details to be published soon and the prize giving on the Monday night. Those wishing to take part please put your name and contact details behind the bar.
So come along and get involved and help make this a special night for a special lady.
A restoration of the annual golf day that Carol used to organise and enjoy. A keen golfer herself, Carol's 'chipper' used on most holes she played has been lovingly restored and mounted with the winners name added on a silver medal.
The outing will take place at Thornton Golf Club. Bus leaves the Keys at 8.30am. Bacon rolls and coffee on arrival, 10 tee times followed by a high tea and then back to the Keys for presentation of prizes. £40 per player.
